-  ¾   cup butter, softened
- 200 grs  cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups   sugar
- 2          eggs
- 3 cups   flour
- ½ tsp    baking powder
- ½ tsp    baking soda
- ½ tsp    salt
- 1½ cups extra-ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup     pecans or walnuts, chopped or grated (and/or toasted)
- ½ tsp    vanilla extract
- ¼ cup    raisins (optional)

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and gradually add to mixture until blended. 

Stir in bananas, nuts, vanilla and spoon into a greased loafpan. 

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake for an hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. 

Shield with aluminum foil to prevent browning, if necessary. 

Let it cool before slicing.
