LEMON CAKE

- 250 grs  butter or margarine
- 250 grs  sugar
-    5       eggs, separated
- 250 grs  flour
-    2  tsp baking powder

- Mix butter and sugar very well.

- Then add alternatively one egg yolk and some flour already mixed with baking powder. Whisk the egg whites and pour into mixture.         

Here you can add the flavour you wish:

½  cup orange or lemon juice
2  Tbsp orange or lemon peel, grated
½  cup of hazelnut, grated

- Preheat oven to 180°, bake for about an hour and the moment it´s taken out of the oven, spread on top “real fine sugar” mixed with orange or lemon juice.

►Tip
    You can use other flavours and combinations such as:

   • cooked beet cut in small pieces and a strawberry yoghurt
   • shredded carrots and apple juice.
